Football: Packers get No. 6 seed, GM is No. 1 and BP is No. 2

The Austin football team will open the Section 1AAAAA tournament as the No. 6 seed and the Packers will play at at No. 3 Owatonna Tuesday at 7 p.m. to open the playoffs.
Austin (3-5 overall) lost to the Huskies (5-3 overall) 42-14 in Austin Sept. 26.
Section 1 nine man football tournament
Lyle-Pacelli is the No. 6 seed and the Athletics will open the tournament at No. 3 Mabel-Canton Tuesday at 7 p.m.
MC beat LP (2-6 overall) 42-18 Aug. 29.
Top-seeded Grand Meadow will host No. 8 Glenville-Emmons Tuesday at 7 p.m.
The Superlarks (8-0 overall) beat the Wolverines (0-8 overall) 68-12 Sept. 19.
No. 7 seeded LeRoy-Ostrander will play at No. 2 Spring Grove Tuesday at 7 p.m.
The Cardinals (1-7 overall) lost 71-21 to the Lions (7-1 overall) Sept. 12.
Section 1A football tournament
No. 5 seeded Southland will open at No. 4 Faribault Bethlehem Academy (6-2 overall) Tuesday at 7 p.m.
The Rebels (5-3 overall) never played FBA this season, but Southland has won its last three games.
No. 2 seeded Blooming Prairie will host No. 7 Fillmore Central (2-6 overall) Friday at 7 p.m.
BP (8-0 overall) never faced the Falcons in the regular season.

The No. 8 seeded Vikings will play at No. 1 Caledonia Tuesday at 7 p.m.
The Warriors (8-0 overall) beat Hayfield (1-7 overall) 53-0 Sept. 19.
