The No. 2 seeded Awesome Blossoms opened the Section 1A football tournament with a 60-13 win over No. 7 seeded Fillmore Central (2-7 overall) in BP Tuesday.

Jake Decker had 206 yards of total offense and he scored three touchdowns.

The Awesome Blossoms (9-0 overall) led 34-0 at the half.

The Blossoms will host Goodhue in the Section 1A semifinals Saturday at 7 p.m.

“We’ve just got to enjoy this one tonight and get back to work tomorrow,” BP head coach Chad Gimbel said.

BP had 305 rushing yards in the win.
