Austin’s B&J Bar & Grill could soon be hosting a few more events.

New manager Shelley LeTendre said she’s looking to bring in a few more public events to the bar.

That starts tonight, as a comedy show called “The Hobbit Trail: A Misguided Comedy Tour” will be held starting at 8 p.m.

The bar and grill is under new ownership. Scott and Terry Fox took over the bar last month, but LeTendre doesn’t envision many major changes for the well-established business.

“Basically, it’s the same place,” she said.

That said, LeTendre is planning to bring in a few more events like the comedy show.

Later in October, she plans to host a Halloween event. Then on Oct. 31, the B&J will be the site for the official meet and greet when retired NFL player Carl Lee comes to town.
