Mower County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the theft of 12 farm equipment tires in Rose Creek.

Sheriff Terese Amazi said a rural farm owner reported the theft Wednesday once he discovered the tires missing on a plow and case digger. The theft allegedly took place at some point between last Friday and yesterday, according to Amazi. The tires are size 12.5 L by 15 FL and are valued at $3,600 total.

Amazi said it would have taken several people to remove the tires from each vehicle.
