LaVerne Gaylord Fast, 74, died on July 19, 2014, in Austin, Texas. LaVerne was born in Mountain Lake, Minnesota, to Theodore and Hulda (Wall) Fast.

He is survived by his wife Ruth of Austin, Texas; son, Randy of New York City, New York; daughter, Stephanie of Austin, Texas; three grandchildren Madeleine, Caroline and Tori all of Austin, Texas; and sister Delores Moon of Simi, California.

A celebration of LaVerne’s life will be held at a later date.
