80-year-old accused of groping retirement home worker; Accused allegedly passed note and money with a phone number

An 80-year-old Austin man is in trouble after he allegedly groped a retirement home employee.

Roger Thomas Jennings pleaded not guilty to fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct, a gross misdemeanor, Thursday in Mower County court.

According to a court complaint, police were called to Primrose Retirement Community on June 19, where the victim told police Jennings allegedly made several harassing comments to her. Jennings allegedly had previously told the victim she had a “nice rack and a nice body.”

He also allegedly gave the victim a note containing his phone number and a $5 bill on June 18.

The victim told police Jennings snuck up behind her in a freezer area the morning of the 19th and groped her. He also allegedly told her “that wet look is good on you,” in reference to her wet hair, which she said was from the rain.

Jennings will next appear in court on Jan. 23.
