Several Lansing campers burglarized

Several campers in the Lansing area were broken into over the weekend, according to Mower County Sheriff’s deputies.

Chief Deputy Mark May said several burglaries were reported Sunday at a recreational space near 260th Street and 547th Avenue in Lansing.

One person told police she had found her father’s camper broken into. A foldable ladder and several hand tools were missing from the camper valued at about $250 in total.

Another camper was missing a 32-inch flatscreen TV and various meats and dry goods, with about $1,020 in total damages. A third camper was missing several gas cans, fishing poles, a DVD player, a digital TV converter, camp plates, food and a CO detector. May said that camper reported about $1,827 in damaged or stolen property.
