Richard Michael Njos, Sr., 61, of Wabasha, died Monday, July 7, 2014, at Mayo Clinic Hospital-Rochester, Saint Mary’s Campus. He was born Jan. 2, 1953, to Duayne and Gladys (Patzer) Njos in Austin, Minn. He married Renee Fohrman on Aug. 5, 1972. The couple made their home in rural Austin. They had three children together: Richard Michael Njos, Jr., Regina Marie Njos and Ryan Matthew Njos. The couple later divorced. Dick married Kathy Williamson in January of 1995. They resided in Lake City and later divorced. Dick was employed by Federal Mogul in Lake City for 30 years. He enjoyed listening to country music, caring for his vehicles and spoiling his dog, Shiloh.

Survivors include children, Ryan Njos of Owatonna, Regina (Aaron) DeVries of Austin, Rick (Tisha) Njos, Jr., of Slater, Iowa; siblings, Sue (John) Harris of Hollandale, Wayne (Karen) Njos of Blooming Prairie, Randy (Lorraine) Njos of Pueblo, Colo., Scott (Stacy) Njos of Austin; grandchildren, Gavin, Keenan and Jaren Njos, Aidan and Cecilia DeVries; nieces, nephews; great nieces and great nephews; step-daughter, Tabby Grobe; step-grandchildren, Kayla and Brittany LaVan; step-daughter, Trissa Wallerich; step-grandchildren, Lidia and Ava Wallerich; step-daughter, Tarri Gnotke; step-grandchildren, Natalie and Claire Gnotke.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; and a great nephew, Connor John Harris.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, July 11, 2014, at Worlein Blooming Prairie Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Heidi Heimgartner officiating.
