An annual summer track and field event returns to Austin next week.

On Tuesday, Austin Parks and Recreation and the Austin Noon Kiwanis Club will sponsor the first of two summer Gene Roden Memorial Track Meets.

Field events begin at 6:15 p.m. and track events begin at 6:30 p.m. for children ages three to 15 at Wescott Field. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m.

A second track event will be held July 17.
