Best Bets: Despite rain, plenty to do this weekend

1. Golf Day and Hall of Fame Banquet

The 2014 Pacelli Golf Day/Hall of Fame Banquet is will host golf at noon at the Meadow Greens golf course, the hall of fame/banquet at 6 p.m. at St. Edward’s Corcoran Center. A social hour will be followed by a banquet. The event will include 18 holes of golf, free pop, beer and hot dogs on the course, pin prizes, and parmesan chicken dinner. There will be hole-in-one prizes and raffle ticket opportunities. Raffle tickets are $20 each. Tickets for events include: $90 for single and $180 for couples for golf/cart/banquet, or $30 for single or $60 for couples for banquet. For more information, go to Note: This event may be canceled due to wet weather conditions.

2. Evening Out

5:30 to 9 p.m., Friday, June 20, 1907 9th Street, SW

Cost: $10 for one child, $20 for two children, $25 for three children. Please bring your child/children already fed. A snack will be provided for them. All the money made will go to Team Faith, Hope & Love and the Relay for Life. Please call Shannon Tabor to reserve a spot.

3. All Stars Tournament

All day, Saturday, June 21, Todd Park North

4. 2×4 Bike Ride/Oatmeal Days

8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, June 21, St. Ansgar High School

Riders will travel through Iowa and Minnesota, and four local counties, for a total of up to 50 miles. Cyclists will leave from the high school parking lot in St. Ansgar, Iowa at 8 a.m. rain or shine and will return to St. Ansgar where an Oatmeal Days celebration will be in progress, along with fundraisers. Registration begins at 7 a.m. at the St. Ansgar High School north parking lot with a fee of $15 per adult and $10 per child of 12 or under, and a family limit of $35. 5. Golf Tournament & Silent Auction

12 to 6 p.m., Saturday, June 21, Cedar River Golf Course in Adams, Minn.

The Ryan Gordon Memorial Golf Tournament & Silent Auction will feature four-man best shot and a noon shotgun start. Cost is $45/player, including hamburger meal after play. 6. Sola Fide Viewing

9 to 10 p.m., Saturday, June 21, Sola Fide Observatory
