Robert Frank Ruzek, 69, of Marquette, Iowa, died Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at the V.A. Medical Center in Tomah, Wis. Robert was born July 29, 1944, to Frank and Bessie (Chmelik) Ruzek in Blooming Prairie, Minn. He graduated from Blooming Prairie High School in 1962. He entered the United States Army and was stationed in El Paso, Texas, as an electronics technician. After his discharge from the Army, Bob managed the Mason City Country Club and owned a bar for a few years. Bob then worked on the railroad in Marquette, Iowa. He was united in marriage with Annette Dolan, they were later divorced.

Bob is survived by his two children, Stephan (Sherri) Ruzek of Shenandoah, Iowa, and Anne Marie (Kevin) Vaughan of West Des Moines, Iowa; seven grandchildren; his brother, Jim (Lynda) Ruzek of Rochester, Minn.; his sister, Carolyn (Walter) Harms of Caledonia, Minn.; his niece and nephews; and his constant companion, Missy.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Life Service was held on Monday, April 21, 2014, at Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home in McGregor, Iowa. Military Rites were conducted by the Pocket City American Legion Post No. 267.
