Robert (Andy) Christian Anderson, 66, of Las Vegas, Nev., was born in Rochester, Minn. He graduated from Austin High School in 1965, and passed away May 9, 2014, of Non-Hodgkins Lymphomia following a valiant five-month battle. He passed peacefully surrounded by family and friends in a hospice setting in the home of his dear friends Judy and Ron Anderson.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard; mother, Marianne; and his grandson, Brandon Elias.

He is survived by his sister, Marty/Ron Iverson; and his children, Melanie/Doug Bulthuis, Chad/Jodi Anderson (Ava & Max), Kari/David Elias (Alex & Ryan), Dustin/Kari Anderson (Cecelia & Elianna), and Brady/Mali Anderson (Chase). He is further survived by his niece, Jody Iverson and nephew, Jason Iverson.

He was a sweet, larger-than-life man with a big heart. Four years ago, he discovered the world of dance and a host of newfound friends that tremendously enhanced the quality of his life.

Memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 2014, at New Song Church in Henderson, Nev. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested in his name to the Kidney Foundation or to Faith’s Lodge, located in Wisconsin, office in Minneapolis, in Brandon Elias’ name.
