Blooming Prairie qualifies three golfers for state meet

Blooming Prairie had three golfers qualify for the Class A state meet and GMLO advanced one golfer to state at the Section 1A meet in Rochester Tuesday.
The BP boys advanced senior Victor Peterson and freshman Tommy Braaten to the state meet. Peterson finished tied for second overall with an 80 and Tommy Braaten, who shot an 83, won a playoff to advance to state.
The BP girls advanced freshman Taylor Christenson, who shot a 93 to take the last spot to state, and Grand Meadow-LeRoy-Ostrander senior Kaitlin Kling shot an 83 to finish second overall and get to state.
The Class A state golf meet will be held June 10 and June 11 at Pebble Creek Golf Course in Becker, Minn.
