The Austin baseball team had a chance against Rochester Mayo, but it allowed three runs in the top of the seventh inning as it lost 5-3 in Dick Seltz Field Saturday.

Isaac Schumacher had a solid start for the Packers (2-10 overall, 2-10 Big Nine) as he allowed two runs in five innings and he also went 1-for-3.

“We just couldn’t close the door and that’s something we need to do against teams like that,” Austin head coach Chris Gogolewski said.
