Steve & Roxanne made a home in Albert Lea raising their two sons, Travis and Mitch. He was always helping his late parents care for their properties and the “junk yard.” He adored his grandson, “Z,” and shared many packages of Oreos with him. Steve was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting pheasants in S.D., coyotes in N.D., hogs in Oklahoma, turkey, and deer. He was a proud member of the CVCC & Owatonna Gun Club, earning awards in trap shooting and always striving to be better than his rival hunting buddies. He had many adventures with his loyal companions Jake, Abby, and Randy. When he wasn’t hunting, you could find him riding his Harley around town visiting friends and family. Steve was known by his friends and family for his big laugh, smart mouth, and helping hands. After losing a 14-month battle with cancer, his final request was for his body to be donated to the Mayo Anatomical Department for medical research.

Steve is survived by his wife Roxanne; his son Travis; his grandson Zaden; sisters-in-law Eunice Bolinger, Debra Chodur (Gary), Darla Nelson (Graden), Connie Talamantes; brothers-in-law Steven Brenke (Rosie), Darrell Brenke; nephews & nieces Danielle Bure (Damian), Justin Bolinger, Cody Bolinger, Sara Chodur, Nathan Chodur, David Villerreall, Anthony Villerreall, Colt Nelson, Blake Talamantes, Adison Talamantes, Amber Rose Brenke, Darrell Jr. Brenke; great nephews & nieces Desmond, Ryleigh, Laynie, Gavin, Korah, Savanna, Elijah, Selena, Angelo, Karmine; special family Josh Miller, Brynn, Jaegar, & godson Cashus.
