Packer girls win home track and field invite

The Austin girls track and field team won its home invite at Larry Gilbertson track and field Thursday.
The Packers put in a score of 83.5, Faribault was second with a 53.5 and Rochester John Marshall was third with a 49.
The Packers dominated the hurdles as they took the top three spots in the 300-meters and they took two of the top spots in the 100-meters. Kendall Hackensmith won the 300 and Rachel Quandt won the 100.
Austin’s Alex Hansen won the 400-meter dash, Amber Hansen won the triple jump, Carolyn Hackel won the long jump and the Packers took first in the 4 x 400 and 4x 800-meter relays.
