Mayo Clinic Health System’s Hospice department will host its first bereavement camp for children and teens Saturday, May 17.
The camp, Helping Hearts Heal, is for children and teens, grades kindergarten through 12, who have experienced the death of a loved one. The activities will help participants understand their feelings and show them they are not alone in their grief.
Helping Hearts Heal activities planned so far include: fun and games, memory activities, group discussion, climbing wall, art activities, and an ice cream social.
The camp will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 17 at the Brookside Education Center, 211 W. Richway Dr., Albert Lea. For more information or registration materials call the Hospice Office at 507-377-6393. Registrations are due Friday, May 2.
Because of the generosity of many individuals donating to Mayo Clinic Health System Hospice, Helping Hearts Heal is offered free of charge.
