The Austin Bruins stepped up their defensive game to tie their five-game playoff series with Minot at one game apiece Saturday night in Riverside Arena.
One night after they allowed eight goals to the Mintotauros(25-34-1 overall), the Bruins held Minot to 14 shots in a 2-1 win. Jay Dickman scored the go-ahead goal for the Bruins in the second period.
Nick Lehr stopped 13 shots for the Bruins (41-20-1 overall), who must now win at least one game in Minot this Friday and Saturday to continue the series. If Austin wins both games, it will win the series and advance to the NAHL Central Division Finals for the third straight season.
