Thrivent Financial has donated about $35,000 to the Habitat for Humanity Freeborn/Mower to cover the cost of half a home this year.
From the national partnership’s inception in 2005, Thrivent Financial and its members have now committed more than $200 million and more than four million volunteer hours.
“We are extremely grateful to Thrivent Financial for their continued support of Habitat for Humanity,” Executive Director Brigitte Campbell said in a press release. “Because of this support, more families will have a safe, affordable place to call home.”
The funding is part of an ongoing partnership between Thrivent Financial and Habitat for Humanity International, called Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity. Through the partnership, Thrivent members, Habitat affiliates and others partner with families across the U.S. and around the world to provide affordable housing and stronger, generous communities.
“Working in partnership with Habitat families to help them build or repair their homes is an inspiring experience,” said Joel Morrison, a financial representative with Thrivent Financial, in a press release. “I enjoy working alongside members — who generously donate their time and talents — to strengthen our community.”
