I.J. Holton Intermediate School is receiving more notice.

ATS&R, the architectural firm that designed Austin’s newest school, received the Citation of Excellence Award from Learning by Design, one of the biggest magazines in the nation to feature educational architecture, in its spring publication.

The magazine’s award jury was impressed by the way Austin Public Schools goals for science, technology, engineering, fine arts and mathematics (STEAM) were incorporated into the building.
