Best Bets: Go, fight, win this weekend

Ready for a little rowdy fun? We’ve got sports galore and a few finer shows going on in the area this weekend, so get ready to have a good time.
1. Cruisin’ for a Bruisin’
7:05 p.m. Friday, March 14, and Saturday, March 15. Austin Bruins vs. MN Magicians, Riverside Arena. Tickets are $11 for adults, $7.50 for students with ID and seniors 65 and up.
The Austin Bruins go head-to-head and back-to-back with the Minnesota Magicians. No amount of magic can save the other team when they’re in the bear’s den, however.
2. A star is born
7:30 p.m. Friday, March 14, and 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 15,. “Judy, Judy, Judy!” Paramount Theatre. Tickets are $20.
Take the trolley, follow the yellow brick road, do whatever you can to catch a local homage to film and music star Judy Garland this weekend. Three local actresses, including Krista Johnson, will portray the Minnesota-born Garland.
3. Sing, sing!
1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 15. Immanuel Lutheran High School and College Tour Choir Concert. St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, free admission.
Ready for a holy, wholesome time? Stop by St. Paul’s in southwest Austin to hear the esteemed Immanuel Lutheran High School and College Choir, which will perform this weekend.
4. The big game
6 p.m. Saturday, March 15. Austin Packers vs. DeLaSalle Islanders, Minnesota State Boys Basketball Class AAA championship game. Target Center, Minneapolis. Tickets are $14 for adults, $9 for students
This is it. Austin takes on its biggest challenge this season when it goes up against DeLaSalle one more time for the state boys basketball championship. Go Pack!
