Deuces Wild!

Deuces Wild!

Laugh like you never have before when Deuces Wild! Dueling Pianos hit the Historic Paramount Theatre stage at 7:30 p.m. this Thursday.

Deuces Wild! combines the talents of David Eichholz and Ted Manderfeld into a Las Vegas-style show that mixes comedy with surprising parodies and music ranging from classic rock to rap to pop.

The key to its success lies in the very encouraged audience participation. Through group toasts, good-natured ribbing, and the firm yet gentle recruitment of show participants, audience members will become an essential part of the action.

Dave and Ted like to describe it as a “choose your own adventure variety act, which leads to an unforgettable show.”

The Austin Jaycees will be at the Paramount that evening selling alcoholic beverages.

If you are in the mood for something a little more low key, join Dave and Ted that afternoon at 2 p.m. for “What a Wonderful World.” This show features beloved musical standards, spirituals and sing-alongs complete with costumes, comedy and wit.

Some of the songs include: “Over the Rainbow,” “16 Tons,” “Amazing Grace,” and many more. Tickets for “What a Wonderful World” are $15, and tickets for Deuces Wild! are $18 in advance and $23 at the door. All tickets can be purchased online at austinareaarts.org, at the Paramount box office Tuesday-Friday from noon to 5 p.m., or over the phone at 507-434-0934.

The Austin Area Commission for the Arts would also like to send out a special thank you to The Hormel Foundation for its support of the Austin ArtWorks Center. We still have a few more details to work out, and should be able to launch our official capital campaign soon. Please sign up for our email list on our website to stay up to date with the latest information on the Center and upcoming Paramount events.
