The Hayfield girls basketball team played a solid second half to beat Byron (9-11 overall, 7-7 HVL) 70-49 in Hayfield Tuesday.

The Vikings (17-5 overall, 10-5 HVL) trailed 32-28 at the half, but they rallied back to win as Dani Wagner finished with 29 points.

“We used pressure defense and kids stepped up and made shots,” Hayfield head coach Fred Kindschy said.
