The Austin City Council will discuss the city’s health policies at its upcoming work session Tuesday.

The council will hear from Karissa Studier, the State Health Improvement Program coordinator for Mower County Health and Human Services, as well as Erin Simmons from the American Lung Association, on electronic smoking policies and health effects.

In addition, the council will discuss its airport hanger facilities and hold public hearings on street and sidewalk improvements scheduled for this year.
