Blooming Prairie girls get past Cardinals

The No. 3 seeded Blooming Prairie girls basketball team opened the Section 1A West tournament with a convincing 75-40 win over NO. 6 LeRoy-Ostrander in BP Thursday.
Taylor Hagen had 18 points, 13 rebounds and four blocks for BP (18-7 overall) and Samantha Siskow led the Cardinals with 14 points and nine rebounds.
BP will take on No. 2 Lyle-Pacelli in the Section 1A West semifinals in Mayo Civic Center Auditorium Monday at 7:30 p.m.
LP beat BP 58-19 Dec. 5.
