The Austin Girls Youth Basketball seventh grade team, wrapped up its’ traveling schedule this past weekend in Fairmont, taking first place. The team includes: front row (left to right): Kara Nykiew, Claire Heichel, Jenna Braaten ,Kiejuana VanZant Eleanor Hinchcliffe, and Abby Almanza; bottom row: Abby Lewis, Colie Justice, Hannah Quandt, Destiny Taylor, and Chloe Sheehan. They are coached by Scott Lewis, Steve Justice, Brent Sheehan, and Aimee Sheehan. The team is now 20-5 on the season and will play Red Wing twice in Austin on Saturday March 1 at Holton School at 10:20 a.m. and 12:40 p.m. in a rematch of the Big Nine championship, which was won by Red Wing by two points. — Photo Provided
