Austin seventh grade girls take first place in Fairmont

The Austin Girls Youth Basketball seventh grade team, wrapped up its' traveling schedule this past weekend in Fairmont, taking first place. The team includes: front row (left to right): Kara Nykiew, Claire Heichel, Jenna Braaten ,Kiejuana VanZant Eleanor Hinchcliffe, and Abby Almanza; bottom row: Abby Lewis, Colie Justice, Hannah Quandt, Destiny Taylor, and Chloe Sheehan. They are coached by Scott Lewis, Steve Justice, Brent Sheehan, and Aimee Sheehan.  The team is now 20-5 on the season and will play Red Wing twice in Austin on Saturday March 1 at Holton School at 10:20 a.m. and 12:40 p.m. in a rematch of the Big Nine championship, which was won by Red Wing by two points. -- Photo Provided
