Lyle-Pacelli sophomore Courtney Walter hit a major milestone as the Athletics beat Hope Lutheran (6-10 overall, 5-7 SEC) 69-21 in Lyle Friday.

Walter poured in 22 points for the No. 5 Athletics (12-0 overall, 10-0 SEC) and she now has 1,000 career points.

“It was a mixed bag,” LP head coach Justin Morris said. “We were not satisfied with how we executed, but we’re very proud of Courtney. It’s very rare for a sophomore to hit that mark.”

Sarah Holtz added 14 points, eight rebounds, four assists and eight steals.
