The Lyle-Pacelli boys basketball team let another close game slip away when they lost 76-71 in overtime to Hope Lutheran (6-8 overall, 6-5 SEC) in Lyle Friday.

The Athletics (4-12 overall, 4-9 SEC) tied the game at 66-66 with 16 seconds left in regulation when Jordan Cotter scored on a lay-up, but Hope Lutheran took an early lead in overtime.

“We had a disappointing start, but I was proud of the way our guys battled back,” LP head coach Dean DeBoer said.

Jordan Hart had 23 points for LP.
