Frances A. Hug, 100, of Austin, Minn., died at her home on Monday, Jan. 6, 2014.

Frances Arvilla Hug was born to Anna and Amos Hanson on July 10, 1913, in Bricelyn, Minn. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. On Dec. 30, 1930, she and Lester Hug were married at the St. Olaf parsonage. Frances was a farm wife and mother. Lester died in 1992. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters and two brothers along with a still-born daughter.
The funeral service will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Dexter Township, 22980 630th Avenue at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, with the Rev. David Fleischmann officiating. There will be no reviewal at the church. A private family interment service will be held at Oakwood Cemetery, Austin.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10, at the Clasen-Jordan Mortuary. The family requests no flowers. Memorials may be directed to Friends of China-USA, 14833 57th Street North, Stillwater, MN 55082
