AYB girls tournament will bring in 45 teams

The Austin youth girls basketball program will host a record number of teams for its upcoming tournament on Jan. 25 and Jan. 26.

On Jan. 25 ten eighth grade teams will play at the high school with games being played from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eight fourth grade teams will compete at IJ Holton with games being played from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Ellis will host nine sixth grade teams with games being played from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

On Jan. 26 eight seventh grade teams will play at the high school with games being played from 9 a.m. to 4 pm. Ellis will host ten fifth grade teams with games being played from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Overall we will host a total of 45 teams over the weekend with teams from Austin, Rochester Lourdes, Fairmont, Albert Lea, Lake City, Stewartville, Kasson-Mantorville, Dover-Eyota, Mankato, Rochester- Century, Blooming Prairie, Goodhue, Faribault, Plainview-Elgin-Melville, Byron, Rochester-Mayo, Waseca, Decorah, IA and Mason City, IA.
