We will also be hosting a Winter Solstice Yoga Mala in partnership with the Yoga Studio of Austin on at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, on the second floor of the proposed future location of the Austin ArtWorks Center located at 300 North Main Street. A Yoga Mala is 108 Sun Salutations usually done at the change of season. It takes about two hours to complete, and any level yoga student is encouraged to attend, even those who have never before practiced.

The experience can be physical, or you can complete the salutations in a seated meditation. The cost to participate is $20 and all the funding goes to support the ArtWorks Center. Visit yogastudioofaustin.com to register or call 440-1073.

Our Austin Area Commission for the Arts 2014 membership drive continues. Help us reach our goal to reach 250 members.
