Snap Fitness could come to Austin.

Property owner Wayne Fett said Thursday he received a letter of intent from a Snap Fitness gym franchise to move into Fett’s strip mall located at 803 18th Ave. NW, but hadn’t yet secured a lease with the company.

“I’m very confident they’re coming,” Fett said. “There’s a big need for it.”

The potential gym would be located by Jimmy John’s, which opened in September, and the Sassy Strawberry, a self-service frozen yogurt shop that opened in November.
