Bruins fall into first place tie with Bismarck

The Bruins fell into a tie for first place in the NAHL Central Division with Bismarck after they lost 4-1 to Brookings (7-16-6 overall) on the road Saturday.

The Bruins (18-10-1 overall) have lost five of their last six games and they have 37 points, which puts them even with Bismarck and three points ahead of third place Aberdeen.

The Bruins out-shot Brookings 32-7 in the last two periods, but it they were outscored 2-1 in that stretch as Cory Dunn’s first career goal was Austin’s only score of the night.

Nick Lehr had 13 saves in the loss for Austin.
