Balcony tickets are still available for the Michael Veldman and Friends 2013 Holiday Show “A Christmas to Remember,” which will be presented at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 13 and 20 and 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 14 and 21.

Starting to think about holiday gifts?

For about the cost of one beer or latte a month, you can make a difference in the sustainability of the arts in Austin by becoming a member or giving the gift of a membership to the Austin Area Commission for the Arts.

Each membership will help support all the AACA’s programs, including the Historic Paramount Theatre, Austin ArtWorks Festival, and the proposed Austin ArtWorks Center.

Not only do members become part of our family, but membership offers benefits at both the Historic Paramount Theatre and the Austin ArtWorks Center.

Individuals can become members for only $5 per month. Households of two or more can join for only $10 per month. If you prefer, we also offer opportunities to make one yearly membership payment of $60 or $120 respectively.

Help us reach our goal in 2014 to recruit 250 plus members. We will also accept any amount more than $120 as a donation.

All members will receive free popcorn at Paramount events, $2 off on tickets at the Paramount, discounts at local merchants, invitations to member only events, and five additional passes to invite a friend to any event who has never before been to the Paramount.

The specific benefits at the Austin ArtWorks Center are still being determined. However, all 2014 members will get a sneak preview of the space before it is officially open to the public.
