Shirley M. Diedrich, 88, of Austin, Minn., died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013, at the Adams Healthcare Center.

Shirley was born Oct. 10, 1925, in Austin, to Carl and Edna Nelson. She grew up in Austin and lived there her entire life. In 1949, she married Albert Diedrich.
Survivors include three children, Barb (Chuck) Knudtson, of Eagan, Minn.; Linda (Kent) Anderson, Adams, James Diedrich, of Austin; three grandchildren, Katie, Alex, and Jake; one great grandchild, Sydney; sister, Faye (Bud) Harrington, of Austin; brother-in-law, Robert Bawek,of Austin; sister-in-law, Mary Nelson, of Austin.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Al.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, at Queen of Angels Catholic Church with Father Dale Tupper officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday at Mayer Funeral Home and also one hour before the service at the church on Saturday. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Memorials are preferred to Queen of Angels Catholic Church.
