Rita Ann (Przytarski) Gerlach, 58, of Mankato, Minn., died on Nov. 16, 2013, surrounded by her family.

Memorial Mass will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 423 West Seventh Street, Mankato, MN.  Visitation 4-7 p.m. Friday at Northview North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Drive, North Mankato, MN. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

Rita was born to Daniel and Ruth Przytarski in Austin, Minn., in 1955, and married Stephen Gerlach in 1979. Together, they had three children. She taught for nearly 35 years in the Catholic school system in Mankato. She enjoyed gardening, crafting, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survived by her husband, Stephen; daughter, Nicole (Joshua) Zwilling; son, Nathaniel (Ashley Anderson) Gerlach; three grandchildren; her mother; four siblings; and many other family. She was preceded in death by her son, Bradley; father, Daniel; and brother, Phil.
