Lois K. Anderson, 70, of Austin, died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013, at Sacred Heart Care Center, Austin.

Lois Kay Gaul was born Dec. 21, 1942, in Austin, Minn., to Lloyd and Lillie (Turner) Gaul. She married John Anderson on April 1, 1966. A lifelong Austin resident and member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Lois worked as a waitress at the Truck Stop, at the Land O Lakes turkey plant, as well as Austin Packaging, Sterling Drug Store, and Holiday Ford. She had daycare in her home in Austin for many years.

Survivors include her husband, John Anderson, of Austin; daughter, Lynda (Dean) Harrington, of Cottage Grove, Minn.;  son, Scott (Ellie) Anderson, of Austin; sisters, LaDonna (Gary) Keim, of Austin; Lola Kouba, of New Mexico; LuAnn (Darrell) Yoder ,of Sioux Falls, S.D.; Lesley (Mike) Krebs, of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren Ben (Julia) Anderson, Heather (Eric) Petersen, Nic Anderson, Lacey Harrington. She was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Lillie Gaul, her baby daughter Robbie, her in-laws Albert and Florence Anderson; also many aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery. The family prefers that memorials be directed to the American Cancer Society or to Sacred Heart Care Center, Austin. Worlein Funeral Home of Austin is assisting the family with arrangements.
