The owners of the LeRoy Independent have purchased the Monitor Review in Adams.

Dan and Joyce Evans of Evans Printing & Publishing Inc. purchased the weekly newspaper from Sue Finbraaten and Maureen Noterman, according to an article in the Review. The sale was effective Nov. 1.

The Evans also own the Meadow Area News, Riceville Recorder, Lime Springs Herald and Cresco Times Plain Dealer. The Review may move from its current location, 318 W. Main St. in Adams. The owners say they would like to rent space in Adams and Stacyville, Iowa, according to the article.

The Review is 112 years old and covers Adams and Stacyville.
