The Hayfield boys basketball team came back from a slow start to beat Cannon Falls (0-2 overall) 44-40 on the road Tuesday.

The Vikings (2-0 overall, 2-0 HVL) trailed 24-14 at the half, but they came back to take a 40-32 lead with three minutes to go. CF came back to get within 42-40, but the Bombers missed a game-tying break-away lay-up in the last minute.
