Forte Milers Barbershop Chorus Present ‘Music on the Mississippi’

Austin is about to get a dose of barbershop music.

The Forte Milers Barbershop Chorus will present “Music on the Mississippi” at 3 p.m Sunday, Nov. 17, at the Paramount Theatre in Austin.

The Forte Milers Barbershop Chorus includes singers from across southeast Minnesota and northeast Iowa. They are members of the Barbershop Harmony Society, the largest male choral organization in the world.

The show will include special guests, St. Croix Crossing Quartet, 2012 Barbershop International Senior Quartet Bronze Medalists. The quartet has a strong musical background, including more than 100 years of total barbershop experience. They present a variety of music to their audiences ranging from barbershop to pop and Gospel in a very entertaining show.

The Hayfield High School Folk Group directed by Ryan Evans will also perform during the show.
