District’s tech a key issue at school board meeting

The Austin Public Schools board will discuss the district’s strategic direction in technology as a critical asset for teaching and learning when it meets Wednesday in the Austin City Council Chambers.
Information technology director Corey Haugen will give a report to the board during the regular, twice-monthly meeting. The meeting, which begins at 5:30 p.m., was moved from Veterans Day to Wednesday.
The board will also discuss revised policies for public and private personnel data, drug and alcohol testing of committee members and chemical abuse of committee members.
