Wayne Marvin Stark, 54, of Owatonna, died Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at his home.

He was born March 6, 1959, in Winona, Minn., to Marvin and Beverly (Thompson) Stark. In 1970, Wayne’s family moved to Claremont, Minn., where he graduated from Claremont High School in 1977. On March 11, 1978, Wayne married Sandie Mollenhauer at Peace Lutheran Church in Claremont. The couple later divorced. Wayne was employed by Viracon, and was active in the Claremont Fire Department and ambulance crew. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping.

Survivors include his parents, Marvin and Beverly Stark, of Blooming Prairie; children Josh (Jennifer) Stark of Dodge Center and Ashley (Joe) Hjelmen of Blooming Prairie; five grandchildren Hannah, Christian, Adrianna, Hunter, and Addison; one brother David (Sue) Stark of Owatonna; two sisters Jackie (Gary) Johnson of New Richland, Minn., and Kathy (Ken) Ryks of Blooming Prairie; nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his brother Roger Stark in 1966 and great-nephew Daniel Piepho in 2003.

Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, at First Lutheran Church in Blooming Prairie, with Pastor Charles Leonard and Pastor Heidi Heimgartner officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Bixby. Please direct memorials to the family.
