Suspect pleads not guilty to sexual assault

An Austin man accused of sexually assaulting a young girl pleaded not guilty Thursday to two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct in Mower County Court.

Paul Omol Arkangelo Uchodu, 40, of Austin, faces felony charges for first-degree criminal sexual conduct for multiple acts with a victim younger than 16, and first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a victim younger than 13.

According to the court complaint and victim, Uchodu forced the victim into sexual acts over the past several years in Austin when the victim’s mother was not home.

Uchodu has a pretrial set for Feb. 21, 2014.
