The Austin girls soccer team couldn’t hold on to an early lead as it lost 3-2 at Rochester John Marshall (3-9 overall, 2-6 Big Nine) Thursday.
Carolyn Hackel scored in the first minute for the Packers (5-7-1 overall, 2-6-1 Big NIne) and she added another goal with three minutes left in the contest.
“It wasn’t the performance that we usually give,” Austin head coach Enrique Camarena-Corzo said. “At the end the girls picked it up, but unfortunately we didn’t have enough minutes left.”
Austin, which finishes the season in seventh place in the BIg Nine Conference, will host New Prague in a Section 2A tournament game next Tuesday at 5 p.m.
