MINNEAPOLIS  — The mother of a missing Minnesota boy still holds out hope he will be found, 24 years after his disappearance.

Jacob Wetterling was 11 when he was abducted by a masked gunman near his St. Joseph home on Oct. 22, 1989. He has not been seen since and the case remains unsolved.

Jacob’s mother, Patty Wetterling, said, “We have no proof that Jacob is not alive. I will always hope.”
