Bruins top Brookings in a shootout

The Austin Bruins prevailed with a 3-2 shootout win over Brookings (0-8-2 overall) in Riverside Arena Saturday.
Brian Bachnak won the game for the Bruins (8-1 overall) when he scored on Austin’s last attempt of the shootout. Austin Nelson scored Austin’s other shootout goal as Bruin goalie stopped four of the five shots he saw in the shootout and 25 of the 27 shots he saw in the game.
Jay Dickman tied the game at 2-2 when he scored on a penalty shot with 3:48 left in the second period.
