The Austin Public Schools board will review Sumner Elementary School’s year-round schedule at its next meeting, at 4 p.m. Monday inside the district’s conference room at Austin High School.

Board members will hear from Sumer Principal Sheila Berger on the year-round schedule, also known as the 45/15 schedule due to Sumner’s set calendar of nine weeks in school followed by a three-week break, as well as a shortened summer vacation.

Sumner switched to the new calendar in the fall of 2011. This is Sumner’s third year on a year-round calendar.

The board will also discuss Superintendent David Krenz’s annual evaluation process, as the board is set to conduct Krenz’s review in the coming months.
