Bessie M. “Dibble” Chrencik, 96, of Austin, died Friday afternoon, Oct. 11, 2013, at Mayo Clinic Health Systems — Austin.

She was born June 11, 1917, in Austin, the daughter of John and Agnes Sladek. Bessie grew up and attended school in Austin and in 1941, was united in marriage to Charles Dibble. After their marriage, the couple made their home in Austin where Bessie was employed at Hormel Foods, Red Owl, Red Cedar Inn and Austin Drug. Charles died on July 3, 1975. Bessie continued to make her home in Austin and in 1977 she married Thomas Chrencik in Las Vegas. He died on Aug. 10, 1994.

Survivors include her sons, Charles (Alice) Dibble of Pemberton, Minn.; and Kenneth (Joann) Dibble of Medical Lake, Wash.; four grandchildren, Carrie (Al) Parker of Waseca, Charles Dibble of Hastings, Jennifer (Kevin) Stoll of Seattle; and Christopher Dibble of Spokane, Wash.; four great-grandchildren, Andrew and Cameron Parker of Waseca and Solden and Seville Stoll of Seattle; one great-great-grandson, Nathan Sierra-Parker of Waseca; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; two sisters and their husbands, Agnes (Howard) Burt and Anna (John) Psik.

Private family graveside services will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Austin with Pastor Elizabeth Endicott, officiating. The Worlein Funeral Home of Austin is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
