AHS head wrestling coach Bill Kinney retires

Austin High School Activities Director Lisa Quednow-Bickler recently announced that head wrestling coach Bill Kinney is retiring after 20 years at the helm of the Packer wrestling program.
Kinney coached 25 state tournament wrestlers and two state champions. He has been active in the Wrestling Coaches Association throughout his years as wrestling coach.
Jer Osgood has been named interim head coach and he will assume the head coaching duties with assistant coach Jake Levisen this season. Osgood has been a coach at Ellis Middle School for the past eight years. He teaches fourth grade at Southgate Elementary school.
Levisen worked with the Packer wrestling program in the 2011-2012 season and he is also an assistant coach for the boys soccer team. Levisen teaches Art at AHS.
