Tour of homes reaches to county

The Austin branch of the American Association of University Women will hold its semi-annual tour of homes from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6.

Four homes will be featured on this year’s tour:

—Jim Churchill and Rick Matter’s home at 909 10th St. NW is a two-and-a-half story brick home in the Federal Style.

—Nicole and Jonathan Caporale’s home at 106 24th St. NW is a contemporary home nestled into a wooded lot on Turtle Creek.

—Suzette Overby’s home at 808 Fourth St. SW on Skinner’s Hill features a central turret.

—Linda and Jim Lind’s home at 60594 205th Ave. Rose Creek is a country home decorated with family antiques.

Proceeds from the tour go to scholarships at Riverland Community College. A minimum of two $1,000 scholarships are awarded each year. Tickets are available from the Coffee House on Main, AAUW members and at each home the day of the sale or from Sue Grove, 507-433-5464.
